Gallery at Doctor's Office

As many of you know, a couple months back I had the honor of helping decorate the walls of a doctor's office! Jennifer, one of my great clients' husband, Dr. Leung, works with a group of physicians who just opened a new location for their practice in Lewisville, MD Pediatric Associates.

They helped me pick out the following images for 6 separate galleries throughout the office! I haven't been there to see them hung in person just yet, but Jennifer text'd me these pictures!

Here are the two waiting areas. We went with big galleries!!

And then these are in the hallways!

(Love how Isi and Oli are pointing at their big sister, Miranda! And a picture of them is up there too! And the other picture of the twin boys, we learned as we did this project, are actually patients of Dr. Leung, also shown in this picture! So all these hang by his patient rooms!)

Thank you to ALL of my wonderful clients who gave me permission to use images of their beautiful children!!

Hallelujah

I finally have my Internet back up at my computer desk. I very long time ago, my USB wireless thing-a-ma-jig broke. I tried other options (because that was the second one that broke on me), all of which did not work. So that's the main reason for the lack of posts this summer. But enough with the excuses already!

So, I've made some minor changes on my website which I'm trying to upload now and it's not going all that well. Therefore, while I figure out all my website issues, I wanted to make an announcement that it might not work properly in the interim. I also want to add that while my sweet and simple website has served me well, it is in major need of updating. And that might be the understatement of the year!

So if there's any burning questions that you have while the site is down, please don't hesitate to email me at taylorpointer@gmail.com.

Thanks so much!!

Fun stuff!

I got some fun backgrounds, frames, and overlays over at www.mylilcreations.blogspot.com to embellish my photos and make cards, invitations, albums, storyboards, etc. I had fun playing with Miss Ella's pictures today while the girls napped! This set is pretty girlie! The next pack I get will be more manly, I promise!

Daddy left something behind...

Here are a couple hints...

A big o' dust bunny! Hubby finally took the plunge and his office now resides outside of this house. Sad for me and the girls during the day because we won't get to see his smiling face throughout the day. But happy for me and my photography studio that no longer has to share the space! Definitely bitter sweet!
{I MUST further note the second picture!} Please NOTE: Teagan has sprite spilled all down the front of her, that's not some big o' greasy stain. And who on God's green earth knows what Presley is doing besides NOT looking at the camera at all costs! My babies! How I love them so!

Good news!

On the business end of things, I have good news! I am now accepting plastic (yes, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover) when you place an order and for booking sessions! Welcome to the 2000's, Taylor Made!! And I must say it's nice to have finally arrived!

And if you're wondering why all the peppiness at such a late hour, it's because of too much caffeine today. An impromptu play date got me going early stuffing things in the nearest possible nook and cranny and sweeping up dust bunnies straightening up the house and getting ready for the day (if you call my frumpy clothes "getting ready for the day"). And before I knew it I was jabbering my way through lunch with all the kids and my girlfriend. After everyone left and I got the girls down for their nap, I started to feel a slight tinge of a caffeine headache setting in and realized I had not enjoyed my strong cups of Joe. With haste, I quickly warmed up the 6 cup pot I had made when I first woke up, threw in some french vanilla, and pretty much chased it with a "spot of tea".

Oh and if that didn't show enough of my lack of restraint today, my sweet tooth was whispering sweet nothings in my ear about the bag of Reece's pieces peanut butter cups stowed away in the candy bowl above the hutch. ...half a bag of chocolate might have contributed additional caffeine in which I did not account when I was throwing 'em back earlier in the day.... so maybe that's it!!

Attention All Honda Owners

I just wanted to let everyone know that my parents own a Honda (and all other imports) repair shop in Garland. So if you have a Honda, Acura, Toyota, or Nissan and need some work done, I highly recommend them!! :)

I made a mailer for them (that won't post correctly for some reason) and also this simple little website. http://www.executiveimportsgarland.com/ If you need something like this for your business, ask me about pricing.

Studio-licious

I'm excited to announce, the studio/office is now complete! We finished it up on Saturday thanks to many family members chipping in to help with the construction, the clean up, and the most important, watching the girls while we did all this! Thank you everyone!

Today I got all my equipment in and was able to play around a bit.

Here's my only willing participant Teagan at 10.5 months:

Then play time was over!

Stay tuned! I'm putting together a "special" especially for all my blog readers!!

Still in the works

Just a quick update on the studio. ETA - by the end of the weekend! We put the pedal to the medal and the studio/office will be ready in less than 48 hours! Can you tell I'm SOO excited! I seriously have been loosing sleep as I think of all the great things I am going to get to do in there very soon! My creativity has been running wild! It is perfect in every way! It even has some natural light coming in, which is ooh so nice!

Meanwhile, here is a current picture as it stands right NOW!

Items still left to do:

  • Faux finish my main studio wall. The base coat is already on. Can you tell which one it is?? (Not into a turquoise and brown faux? Never fear, there will be several colors to choose from, and not as jazzy!!)

  • Put up base boards, which are already painted.

  • Touch up paint.

  • Clean up the construction zone! (This could take a while! Notice I did NOT take pictures of this!)

I will post more pics once it is 100% complete! Keep your eyes out for a special to come and take 'er on test run! :)

New Studio

I have a new studio in the works, as some of you might know. ETA - a couple weeks, and I can't WAIT!! Meanwhile, here's a picture of my little construction worker helping her daddy work on it! She literally found her hammer and went around to all the walls and the floor and helped hammer. What a great helper! Dirty little face and all!

It'll actually be a shared space with Hubby for his new office. He no longer will work out of the playroom/office/extra bedroom/throw all the junk in before company comes room. It will be a lot more quiet for business calls. We'll see how HE is at sharing! So far, I have my reservations!

I'll post more pictures of it once it is complete and ready for some super cute Christmas pictures!

Moving on up!

It is time to take yet another photography step and transition to pay-by-the-print. As of August 1st, my fees will change and I will no longer include a CD of the high resolution images with the session fee. If you are already booked with me past August 1st, I will of course honor the current listed price.

More details to follow soon!
