Baby M

This is Baby M, who I got to meet last week along with his mama, Bethany. According to Mama, Baby M is not much of a napper during the day, but you probably wouldn't believe it seeing the pictures below.

We actually got a good mixture of wakefulness and sleepiness, but these were my favorite! It was pretty funny, between shots Mama would give him a bottle and he would gulp it down like he hadn't eaten in DAYS!! Getting his picture taken was such hard work that he worked himself up an appetite!

Attention All Honda Owners

I just wanted to let everyone know that my parents own a Honda (and all other imports) repair shop in Garland. So if you have a Honda, Acura, Toyota, or Nissan and need some work done, I highly recommend them!! :)

I made a mailer for them (that won't post correctly for some reason) and also this simple little website. http://www.executiveimportsgarland.com/ If you need something like this for your business, ask me about pricing.

It's rough being 2!

Here's Presley. She's been a little camera shy lately. But she finally came around - it started off a little rough, but she eventually warmed up.

Studio-licious

I'm excited to announce, the studio/office is now complete! We finished it up on Saturday thanks to many family members chipping in to help with the construction, the clean up, and the most important, watching the girls while we did all this! Thank you everyone!

Today I got all my equipment in and was able to play around a bit.

Here's my only willing participant Teagan at 10.5 months:

Then play time was over!

Stay tuned! I'm putting together a "special" especially for all my blog readers!!

Still in the works

Just a quick update on the studio. ETA - by the end of the weekend! We put the pedal to the medal and the studio/office will be ready in less than 48 hours! Can you tell I'm SOO excited! I seriously have been loosing sleep as I think of all the great things I am going to get to do in there very soon! My creativity has been running wild! It is perfect in every way! It even has some natural light coming in, which is ooh so nice!

Meanwhile, here is a current picture as it stands right NOW!

Items still left to do:

  • Faux finish my main studio wall. The base coat is already on. Can you tell which one it is?? (Not into a turquoise and brown faux? Never fear, there will be several colors to choose from, and not as jazzy!!)

  • Put up base boards, which are already painted.

  • Touch up paint.

  • Clean up the construction zone! (This could take a while! Notice I did NOT take pictures of this!)

I will post more pics once it is 100% complete! Keep your eyes out for a special to come and take 'er on test run! :)

Happy Birthday, Hubby!

Price turned 29 yesterday. To celebrate, we had our Bean Supper group over for steak. It was delicious if I can say so myself. Oooooo, I'll share my shrimp cocktail recipe below. It got rave reviews!! Anywho, happy birthday Price, I love you tremendously!

Bean Supper took summer off since babies were being born and life was a little crazy for some of us. But last night started us back up again for bi-weekly rotations at every one's house. And with the addition of three babies, it was a mad house full. But everyone helped tend to the little ones and everyone got to eat at some point!

Shrimp Cocktail - I'm not one for recipes really. I like to throw it all in and call it a day. So use a +/- here and there. Mix the following together and put in the fridge to let all the flavors blend:

Shrimp (the more the better!), cooked, peeled, deveined, no tails - probably 2 pounds
2+ cups Ketchup (maybe 3)
bunch of cilantro, cut
3 jalapenos, seeded and diced
2 tsp Tabasco
2 limes (key ingredient)
2 avocados
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 yellow onion, grated (like cheese - ends of being more like juice and pulp)
salt and pepper

Serve with club or saltine crackers and enjoy!

New Studio

I have a new studio in the works, as some of you might know. ETA - a couple weeks, and I can't WAIT!! Meanwhile, here's a picture of my little construction worker helping her daddy work on it! She literally found her hammer and went around to all the walls and the floor and helped hammer. What a great helper! Dirty little face and all!

It'll actually be a shared space with Hubby for his new office. He no longer will work out of the playroom/office/extra bedroom/throw all the junk in before company comes room. It will be a lot more quiet for business calls. We'll see how HE is at sharing! So far, I have my reservations!

I'll post more pictures of it once it is complete and ready for some super cute Christmas pictures!

American Beauties

I didn't get any pictures of them in their fourth of July duds. So while Teagan and I were waiting for Presley to wake up one afternoon, we went out in the front yard and snapped a couple pictures.

Teagan was all smiles.

Presley woke up and had somewhat of a chip on her shoulder...

Teagan still smiling!

Presley finally came around, after I bribed her with fruit snacks (or was it skittles).

I think I know what Teagan is trying to say! I agree Teggie! We are so blessed to live in the US of A! America's #1!
